About
Rosy Davis is a mixed media artist, developing work through direct engagement, allowing form and meaning to emerge through making.Born in 1989 and raised in Dorset, she later lived in Wellington, New Zealand, where her practice expanded through increased production and experimentation. She completed a BA (Hons) Fine Art at Wrexham University in 2025 and is currently studying for an MA in Painting at the same institution.Based on the border of Powys and Shropshire, her practice explores expanded painting through portraiture, informed by landscape and material encounter. Drawing on British wildlife and environments, her work incorporates textiles, found materials, and photography, often developed through working in outdoor settings. Influences include Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Kiki Smith, Jeanne Simmons, and Andrew Cranston.
